Entry from: Akaroa, New Zealand Entry Title: "Are you going to Strawberry Fare..." Entry: "ha full day in Christchurch. We got up early and decided to start the day right. We had breakfast at this fabulous restaurant called Strawberry Fare (thanks for the tip Melissa!!) It was some of the best food I have ever had. Jym tried a "flat white" which is apparently a New Zealand thing. They have a strange coffee selection but I gotta say as much as I hate coffee I loved the smell of the flat white. Jym liked it a lot and they are quickly becoming his "thing". I had a boysenberry juice. Delicious! Jym had an "orange blossom kiss"...I guess their twist on a mimosa. Tasty. After breakfast we went to the square which is a place where the Cathedral is and also has lots of vendors like a small outdoor market. Very cute. The paying to park everywhere thing (although very easy to use) is mildly annoying since it is everywhere you go. And the time restrictions are difficult. Some only allow an hour at a time. We weren't exactly parked near the square either. We also had little NZ change and you can use your credit card for a mild screwing. We then went to the Christchurch Botanical Gardens in Hagley Park and strolled along the Avon river. A wonderful kiwi gave us his unused parking stub for an hour and a half which ...
